Pia Pera

Di Pia Pera non ho letto tutto il libro L'Orto di un perdigiorno, ma mi è piaciuto e l'ho consigliato e regalato. Mi è piaciuto il suo approccio all'orto e al giardinaggio, spontaneo, senza tanti fronzoli, senza tante regole e senza tante filosofie - anche se il suo approccio è una filosofia. Pia Pera l'avevo scoperta da poco e sapevo che era molto malata. Dispiace se ne sia andata.
Leggendo i vari articoli apparsi sui quotidiani scopro che tra i suoi vari libri ne ha scritto anche uno in cui parla proprio della sua malattia e del poco tempo che le è rimasto. Mi piace il titolo "Al giardino ancora non l'ho detto", che è ripreso da una poesia di Emily Dickinson.

I HAVE not told my garden yet,
Lest that should conquer me;
I have not quite the strength now
To break it to the bee.
I will not name it in the street,
For shops would stare, that I,
So shy, so very ignorant,
